Why I Won't Just Get Over It
It has been a week since I've posted anything. I needed the time to wind down a little bit and think about what has happened during the primary season.
I continuosly hear from many sources that the Obama campaign and the powers that be in the DNC feel that Hillary's supporters need to just get over it. WE are angry because she lost. We are a bunch of angry, bitter women.
Well I want to tell the world that I will not get over it. We are not just a bunch of angry, bitter women. (Many of us are.) We are also many men who are angry and bitter too. I just so happen to be one of those men.
Yes I am angry and bitter, but not because of Senator Clinton's loss.
I am angry that the DNC stole delegates from her that she rightfully owned and awarded uncommitted delegates to Senator Obama, when he freely chose to remove his name from the ballot in Michigan.
I am angry that Senator Clinton was portrayed as a racist when that is so far from the truth and the DNC did not come to her defense.
I am angry that the DNC and their talking heads wanted Senator Clinton to quit and concede right from the very beginning, when history shows us that this was not asked of any other candidate until the convention.
I am angry with the DNC for not properly vetting Senator Obama.
I am angry with the majority of the mainstream media for their sexist and childish behavior in their portrayal of Senator Clinton and no one came to her defense with the exception of a few bold conservative radio programs and television programs.
I am angry with those that say President Clinton was only defending Senator Clinton because she is his wife. If he were campaigning for anyone else he would have defended him or her also.
I am angry with the behavior of many of Senator Obama's supporters, yet he has not once called for an end to it.
I am angry that Senator Obama did not get to where he is fairly. If that were the case, then I would just be deeply disappointed and then I could support our party's nominee.
Well I am not deeply dissapointed, I am angry and I WILL NOT GET OVER IT.

Hillary's Years as First Lady.
During Hillary's 8 years as First Lady of the United States she traveled to more than 80 countries. She met many foreign leaders and the spouses of those leaders. Senator Obama has said oftentimes that they were just tea parties. Guess what happens at tea parties Senator Obama? People talk. Could it be possible that some of these conversations were just as important as direct conversations between leaders? What kind of information may have been passed from Hillary to a foreign leader through his or her spouse? These meetings may have been just what was needed for more formal talks. It seems plausible to me.

Proud
Michelle Obama has recently become proud of her country.
I have been proud of my country all of my life. What better place is there to live than the United States of America. I am proud that I have the chance to vote for my leaders. I am proud that when there is something wrong in this country that there is a peaceful way to change it. I am proud that we have a strong military that is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. I am proud that I can worship in my own personal way. I am proud that I can be who I really am. I am proud that my ancestors chose to come to the United states instead of another country. I am proud that we have our constitution and its bill of rights. I am proud to know about our country's rich history and that we can learn from the mistakes made along the way. I am proud about all of the opportunities that our country has to offer. I am proud that I live in a place that I can take responsibility for my own actions. I am proud that I can disagree with others. I am proud........
Why are you just recently proud Mrs Obama?

RBC Rules and Bylaws Committee or Really Big Creeps
For any of you watching the fiasco of a meeting of the rules and bylaws committee of the democratic national committee. I hope that you were as outraged as I was. I was extremely disappointed in their decision to seat all the Florida delegates, but only award them half a vote. However, I was extremely outraged at the way the delegates from Michigan were awarded or should I just say handed to Senator Obama. Yes all the delegates were seated with only a half vote as in Florida, but they had the audacity to award the 55 uncommitted delegates to Senator Obama and take away 4 of Senator Clinton's delegates and award them to Senator Obama all based on exit polls. If we were going to go by exit polls then we should have just handed him the nomination right after the Iowa caucuses. Might I add that the vote was certified by Michigan and it was stated that uncommitted is a legitimate listing on a ballot in Michigan. Senator Obama freely chose to take his name off the ballot in Michigan. He was not asked to do it or forced to do it.
You sure are a bunch of Really Big Creeps.

Senator Obama on Father's Day
On Father's Day Senator Obama gave an adress to the black community. He took to task the absent fathers and told them they should take responsibility and take care of their families. Well guess what Senator Obama, it is too little, too late. Many people have been saying such things for years and have been villified for saying it. Why all of a sudden is it OK when you are saying it?
Obama's Church
Senator Obama Belonged to the Trinity United Church of Christ for more than 20 years. He called its pastor, The Reverend Jeremiah Wright, one of his spiritual mentors. Everything that we have heard about Reverend Wright is who he really is. How can Senator Obama say that he did not know that this was Reverend Wright. Despite the fact that TUCC has done a lot of good for the community, it is a radical church. Preaching hatred. I've traveled around the country a lot and have attended church services at many churches of various denominations. Some of them were black churches and I never once saw the kind of hatred preached at this Church. Many try to say that this is the same as Senator McCain and the endorsement he recieved from Reverend Hagee. I disagree. Senator McCain did not attend Reverend Hagee's church for 20 years. Senator McCain did not call Reverend Hagee his spiritual mentor.
I believe that Senator Obama left the Trinity United Church of Christ for political reasons. What other reasons could there be?

Why I don't support Obama
Here is a link to a story from the Washington Post about Seantor Obama's former church, Trinity United Church of Christ.

Here is a comment that was left about this story.
It doesn't matter if it's a sound bite or if it's a standard practice. According to Obama, words matter. If words matter on the stump, then words matter in the church. There is nothing in those words that serve the purpose of uniting. Those who accuse people who support Hillary Clinton of racism are themselves racist. Racism works both ways.
No one is entitled to exploit the past, White or Black, rich or poor. We have all had our struggles. It is not blaming others that helps us overcome those struggles. It's taking those struggles and overcoming them that makes us strong.
If these same things were said in a church that Hillary Clinton attended except that they were said about Obama or Black citizens, there would have been massive outrage, not only by the Black community but by the White community and all others regardless of ethnic background. Hillary would have been vilified, and justifiably so. Why is it that the criticism is appropriate in only one direction?
I have been and will remain a supporter of Hillary Clinton. I am not opposed to Obama because he is of mixed race (yes is as White as he is Black). I oppose Obama because of the connections he has with unsavory characters. I oppose Obama because of his lack of experience. I oppose Obama because of his ties with anti-American people. I oppose Obama because of the untruths that he passes off as truths (of which there are many). I oppose Obama because of the cheating that the Democratic Party has done to put him in the position of being the presumptive nominee. I oppose Obama because of his followers who insult Clinton supporters, threaten Clinton supporters, use vile language to intimidate Clinton supporters, who get away with campaigning at the polls. I oppose Obama because he refuses to recognize that Clinton had nearly 18 million people support her. I oppose Obama because he recently said that he doesn't care about the people, he only cares about the checks. I oppose Obama because his followers tell Hillary Clinton supporters that they lost and they should just "get over it" and don't understand that their attitude is not unifying but sending Clinton supporters to a man with integrity, experience, and loyalty to this country. I oppose Obama because his wife just recently became proud of this country that provided her with innumerable opportunities. I oppose Obama because he has a friend who stands on the American Flag. I oppose Obama because of his arrogance and his disdain for the typical, clingy, ordinary people.
I do not oppose Obama because he is bi-racial
In the coming days I will examine the reasons listed in this response.

Why Hillary Clinton?
After following Hillary Clinton's life in public and witnessing her historic run for President of the United States of America, I have decided I can no longer remain silent about my views of what went on. I am deeply saddened and extremely outraged that she was not treated in the same manner as any other candidate in the history of presidential politics. As time goes on, I will explain in detail why I still support her and why I am seriously considering voting for John McCain in November.
